Three reasons for studying biblical genealogies
Here is a great article regarding why we shouldn’t just skip over biblical genealogies when we read the Bible. If we believe that all scripture is inspired by God and inerrant, then we have no excuse to skim over those parts that our human brains deem unimportant.

Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 26
Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 18
Oh thank you God for being the one in control. It doesn’t matter the bad news, the scared or anxious feelings, You are in control. You have it taken care of. At the same time , you know me personally and take care of me, not matter the circumstances. Thank you God!
SOVEREIGN
God presides over every event, great or small, and He is in control of our lives. To be sovereign, He must be all-knowing and all-powerful, and by His sovereignty He rules His entire creation.
1 Chronicles 29:10-13 ESV – 10 . . . “Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. 11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 13 And now we thank you, our God, and praise your…

Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 21 — Plea for Grace
FAITHFUL Out of His faithfulness God honors His covenants and fulfills His promises. Our hope for the future rests upon God’s faithfulness. Psalm 89:1-8 ESV – I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. 2 For I said, “Steadfast love […]
Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 21 — Plea for Grace
Preparing our Hearts for the Holidays — Day 19
Especially at this time of year it is comforting to know that you came, to restore us, to rescue us, to redeem us from the world. In this broken world, you had the grace and mercy we know that you came to take us and make us yours. The words thank you seem so inadequate. But we are forever grateful.
JEHOVAH-NISSI “God our banner.”
Under His banner we go from triumph to triumph and say, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalm 60:4-5 ESV – 4 You have set up a banner for those who fear you, that they may flee to it from the bow. Selah 5 That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer us!
Lord,
As many frustrations and falterings that I may have in this broken world, You have immeasurably blessed me to tell me the end of the story — because of Christ paying the debt for my sins; because of Your incredible mercy in providing salvation; because of Your power and might and Sovereignty — You are the Victor! You will reign. The battle is won; Satan is defeated.

8 Theses for Women of the Modern Day Reformation
I havent read this book, but it sounds like a great read about the women pioneers of the Reformation. What does Godly women ministry look like?
Why Study Ezra?

One of the most incredible prophecies in the Bible is found in Isaiah 44:24-45:1:
I am Yahweh… who says of Cyrus, “He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose”; saying of Jerusalem, “She shall be built,” and of the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.” Thus says Yahweh to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed…”
Isaiah recorded those words, before Cyrus was born. BeforePersia was a world power. Before Judah was sent into captivity. Before Daniel even was, Isaiah had a word from the Lord about a Persian king who would show kindness to Yahweh’s people.
A week and a half ago my youngest, Ezra, was born. It makes me have a deep desire to study the book and the man he was named after. This article is very timely.
Bible is not exclusive
Jesus did not come to be exclusive since the Bible is about Jesus is the Bible is not exclusive either. Check out the article below. It’s a great read.
Law vs Wisdom
Have you ever wondered what the difference was between the law of God and wisdom? Aren’t they both the same? Below is an article that explains the difference between God’s law and wisdom.

My friend Bev and I are hosting a watch party for the Revive Our Hearts women’s ministry annual conference Revive ’19. It’ll be a little different than a regular watch party and that we will have a chat box so that you can chat during the sessions and then we will have an hour or so of discussion afterwards so we can talk about how what we have learned can be applied to our lives. Here is the link to get more information and to register:
