When God says no to something “good”

This is a part of the Christian life I have to always remember. Just because I have an authentic desire to do this or that for God, it doesn’t mean that it is an action or activity that He wants me to do. Thank you for sharing this Bev.

Plea for Grace

Psalm 131:1-3 ESV –
1 O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.

Godly desires are not wrong. Wanting to serve as an act of worship is not wrong. But sometimes God says no to “good” things . . .

Confusion. Disappointment. Frustration. Now what? Where do I go with these emotions?

My God is sovereign over all. If I am his child, and I am because he has redeemed me and I have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20), then God gives me my assignments. He has prepared…
