Walk The Walk He Tells You

As I am sitting here in my home, a day that I will most likely remain alone, I must be strive to be like Jesus. It is so easy to just “let your hair down” and let your flesh take over. After all, who is watching? The dog? He doesn’t care.  But no matter where we are or who we are with, we need to be cognizant of the fact that we should be walking in the service He calls us to, in the way He wants us to live. We need to always be spending time with Him, asking Him in what areas of our lives we may need to repent. I have a daily need to embrace what 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a]may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

and know that the Word of God is meant, not just for us to feel good about being believers. No, not at all! It is for our training, reproof, correction and training in righteousness.  Let us seek Him and His righteousness and not get so busy with our tasks serving that we forget that although we may be in the world, we are not of the world. We will not look like the world, we are not supposed to. We need to be an example for others  and show ourselves approved to God.
